Alannah Hill – Here all night frock!
July 25, 2009

*swoon* this dress by Alannah Hill swept me off my feet when I popped into their Perth City store Yesterday, it was on the sale rack for 20% off the already reduced price (which was about $380 if memory serves).
I just love the romantic deep navy blue, delicate sheer material & white bow sash. I’m not 100% on the white ruffles at the bottom as I think it pushes the dress into the realm of ‘too girly’, for me anyway.
Regardless, I’d love to own it and probably never will!
I also saw the cuuuuuutest little puff out skirts & an emerald green cardigan with pearls that kept coaxing my eyes back towards it..
The girls who work at AH are such dolls, immaculate little things (they have to be or they get told off apparently!). I know I could never put that much effort in day in & day out but I admire them because they can!
Here’s to wishing for infinite riches & the ability to apply makeup & walk in heels.
xo
Oh my Oh my Oh my.
July 25, 2009

Okay well I’ve probably lost almost all my readers due to not updating for the past month, but HEAR ME OUT, I’ve had my reasons, and those reasons will not standing in the way anymore!
1) I AM GOING TO AMERICA FOR THREE MONTHS. To live with my boy friend. I’m leaving on the 9th of August, flying Perth-Sydney, then Sydney-San Francisco direct!!! This is a 19 hour journey all up and I am super excited / nervous! My boyfriend will be picking me up in SF, staying there one night & then headed out to North Carolina the next day, which is about a 7 hour trip again…and then…
IT’S MY 25th BIRTHDAY! Yayayay! Celebrating a quarter century milestone with one of my favourites, in my favourite land is going to be so great. It’s also Summer over there at the moment, blissssssssssssss! CANNOT wait.
Some things planned
2) Working epicly bizarre shifts at work. 5 days in a row of 10pm-6:30am? 5am-1:30pm? 6 day weeks? Ugh ugh ugh! Motivation and creativity have unfortunately been ZAPPPPPPPPPPED outta me from those crazy work shifts. I have quit my job, with the small possibility of working there again when I come back – if not then that’s okay too. It would just mean it’s time for me to move on in the quest of what I should really be doing. I hope to figure that out a little more during my 3 months abroad.
So I’m back! And will be updating a lot as I find out what the future holds… eee x
Chloe Quilted Flats. Shoulder Kisses.
July 9, 2009

Hi internet!
Checking in to display these amazing little pointy flats that break my heart a little bit because I LOVE THEM but they are made of friends &&& far too expensive for me to ever consider owning, even if they weren’t made of friends : (
They would fit into my wardrobe very wonderously.
Today I bought another cute red, vintage dress with flowers that button up the front, for $6! With tags from like the 80’s, with tags (and shoulder pads, ooer!) at $50.
Always pleases me to get a great cute bargain. The other thing I picked up is a reallllllllllly cute skirt, but it’s too big for me so I need to find a tailor to fix that up!
Some things are changing in my life…x

Fasttimesatridgemonthigh has been one of my favourites ever since I first saw it, and it is probably the movie that I have seen the most (besides my pirate copy of Care Bears The Movie: 2 that my parents brought me home from Singapore when I was 5 which got played every day after school until it no longer worked).
Stacy Hamilton: I want a relationship. I want romance.
Linda Barrett: In Ridgemont? We can’t even get cable TV here, Stacy, and you want romance.
It’s funny & sweet, totally endearing and if you haven’t seen it then I very much suggest you do.
The thing I want most right about now is a copy of the book (by Cameron Crowe) that inspired the movie:
It goes for about $100 ish dollars for an original because it is out of print. I want to read it desperately bad because apparently there are quite a few differences to the film. For $100 though, it may have to wait a while.
Which brings me to the point of LOTTO FEVER. As most of us know it gripped the nation last week! For those who don’t live here there was a $90 million super-draw so everyone was in on the ticket action.
No wins (sad!) but it did spark a lot of debate about what we would do given the winning numbers came our way!
For myself:
Swedish/relaxation massage weekly!
Hairdresser for treatment and a blowdry weekly!
Personal organic vegan chef!
Flying first-class, always.
And then the more important kinds of things…
Give 1/4 to my parents
Figuring out a few charities to donate to (Pet Rescue would be one for sure).
Helping friends in different ways with their dreams.
Buying a house in Portland & living with my boyfriend! <3
What would you do with Lotto millions?! x
