A Day in the Life.

June 25, 2009

Once again, I’ve been talking to my boyfriend about flying out to visit him for a while. The only problem here is my fear of flying, oh brain, why be so scared of things that the majority of people are nonchalant about? If you have overcome a fear of flying -please- let me know!

The past few days I have spent opping my life out, I understand it might seem sudden but it was basically a reigniting of an old flame. The thrill of the chase. Treasure hunting. All good things.

I have been eating so much processed food lately, when I was anxious I was eating so well to stop that feeling, and it worked! But since then I’ve been eating chocolates, biscuits, chips etc with little regard for my body, my energy is very low!

I had a smoothie with the kelp granules that I bought in it Today… let me just say, it didn’t work out too well! By the end of the smoothie it tasted like I was drinking fish water, and I put less than a teaspoon in there. I guess seaweed is what fishes eat :(

I also demolished the remainder of my sausage rolls and felt sick. For dinner is mashed sweet potato with snow peas and whatever else I can rustle up.

I have come to the conclusion that frozen spinach is far less vitamin/nutrient rich than fresh baby spinach, it doesn’t give me the energy that the babies do!

Um, so lots of food information there!

It has also been raining non-stop for the past week & will apparently continue to do so for the next. Which is nice :)

So a few more second hand finds for you to peruse:

Tapestry Skirt! Bought in San Francisco. Singlet given to me by the man himself when I was a merch lass.

Cute lil pastel pussy bow blouse.

LITTLE 60′S MOD JACKET / DRESS! Argh. What a find, now I will never wear this because it’s a bit too big for me, but I appreciate it a lot and hopefully someone else will too!

Adore the back detailing.

Vintage fire engine red cutout heels! Size 7.5 so I jussssst squeeze into them, but they are so cute! If only I could wear heels haha. I nearly fell over about 20 times when teetering about the house earlier.

As always I appreciate your thoughts & comments! xox

LOVE the jacket! It’s a shame it is a few sizes too small for me to squeeze into!

    I love the retro jacket-dress!

Also, hear hear on poor nutrition -> crappy mood. I’m pumping myself full of goodness to try and pre-empt the winter blues. Stupid lack of sunshine :(

  5. kittenkitten Says:

I think that jacket is inspiring love and hate in equal proportions! Some think it’s hideous, some loooooove it!

EAT lots of bananas, avocado, flax seed oil, porridge & wheat germ :)

  6. Annette! I am loving all of these vintage-y finds!

Hey kittentails – go talk to your doctor about your fear of flying – they can probably hook you up with some mild sedatives to help you chill out :)

SEAWEED IS A VERY IMPORTANT SOURCE OF IRON I SUGGEST YOU GIVE IT ANOTHER CHANCE!!! Maybe try Nori – that is the sweetest kind. If not in a smoothie maybe in some other dish. Wakame is also tasty and rich in iron. I eat a lot of seaweed and I am not a fish! It has a lot of nutrients you cant get in most vegan foods.

I am crazy about the tapestry skirt and the yellow retro dress. Amazing finds!

I hope you overcome your fear of flying and come to Prague :p We do have a spare room and you and Reid would be more than welcome PLZ COME I MISS YOU
..but regardless I am rooting for you to overcome the fear so you can be with your Ameriboy :)

It’s raining here too! And it’s supposed to be summer?! Worse ever
