Because I am a little bit of a tea nerd, and given that it is winter (it’s raining as I type – brrr!) I thought I’d give the internet a little more stalk material & discuss the varieties of tea that I like to drink on a regular basis!

1. Chamomile tea – the great soother. I try and drink a few cups of this on days that I am feeling particularly stressed out & I seem to find it helps. Of course there is the well known “fact” that drinking it a little before you go to bed can help you doze off, so I also do that too. I really like the taste of this & I’m sure pretty much everyone has tried it! It is definitely a staple of mine!

When I was flying to the US I took some teabags with me (as I hate flying) & got the flight attendants to provide hot water. So that is my tip if you are a stressed out flyer like I am!

2. Healtheries “Be Clean” Green Tea (100% Caffeine free) – Wow, that’s a lot of rhyming right there! This is my favourite green tea, I try & limit my caffeine intake & the Healtheries stuff is really great for that as they all have no caffeine! Not too much to say about this, except that I always hope for the best & try and believe it is doing my wellbeing/skin some kind of good by drinking a few cups a day! Who knows?! You can find this in the health food aisle usually at your supermarket of choice!

3. Healtheries “Be Wise” Gingko/Lemon Tea – I don’t have this one heaaaaps, but I do try and drink it on days where I need to use my brain (which isn’t many days lately!) So I’m not sure how much this one works, but I do like to pretend that it is helping my brain cells out!

4. Dr Stuarts Skin Purifying Tea – “If everyday life has taken too much out of your complexion… invigorating blend of red clover, nettle leaves & dandelion leaves which are all known for their cleansing properties, to purify & soothe the skin”.

I really like the idea of this tea, however I haven’t taken it diligently enough to notice any benefits. I think I spy an upcoming trial! I would probably have to drink one in the morning & one at night for at least a week to see what happened? Hrmmm. Regardless this tea is pretty satisfying & it at least gives me the FEELING that I am being good!!!

You can see a sneaky milo tin in the background, which is what I actually drink more often that not :( It has vitamins! :(

Honourable tea mentions are:

Green tea with cherry pieces infused, T2 ‘Melbourne Breakfast’ (has vanilla pieces infused!) mmmm! Lemon & Ginger tea.

Tell me your favourite teas!

xo

i’m quite boring with my tea, i usually drink plain earl grey, occasionally green tea. my stepmum is a bit of a tea-fiend, so sometimes she’ll break out some of her more unusual teas, and my dad has one that i really like which is gunpowder tea i think, and one other one that i don’t know the name of… and you’re right, the melbourne breakfast is delish!

I really need to get back into tea. I don’t drink any at the moment, all I have is a latte with an extra espresso shot every morning and night (can you believe caffeine has no effect on me anymore and I need an extra shot to function in the morning, madness!)

hehe surprisingly I sleep alright after coffee – it’s caffeinated soft drink that keeps me up all. night. long. Seriously, I’ll have a glass of coke at 10.30 and I’ll still be buzzing away at 3am. hehe.

I think Melbourne breakfast just gets kudos because of the ‘Melbourne’ part, oh swoony swoon to drink Melbourne tea in Melbourne.
