Welcome to 24.

Failing inspiration on the eve of my birth…

Myself aged 1, seen here wearing a darling crocheted cardigan with either a navy tie or tee. Either way, it’s pretty hot. And I am DOWN with that cake! Apparently I used to always talk about how I was going to own a cake shop when I grew up, and would test each and every cake that came out of the oven to make sure it was worthy. I was also only going to sell cakes that I liked. POSTSCRIPT: I’ve perhaps baked a cake ONCE ever!

Another home-made (read: lovingly hand crafted by an elderly female relative) concoction, this time in pastel pink! Heavenly! You can see from the joyousness on my little face that I am still happy to have a large cake in front of my (increasingly chubby) little head.

PINK AGAIN! I received this black board for my third birthday. LOOK AT MY HEAD. I am a balloon child. Rocking the porcelain look with flushed cheeks, so hot right now. Also, ruffles anyone?

Here I am 4/5, thankfully in the year(s) that passed a little of my chubba was lost! Seen sporting a bright blue electro-esque sweater with pink polkadotted faux-braces. Note the badge for added indie cred. May I also point out that my hair is ROCKIN’ here? Cute bangs & pigtails. Also my pink cheeks are still setting the world on fire.

In this picture I had just finished “winning” a layer-prize in pass the parcel. When I grew up I was upset to find out that my parents rigged a lot of the prizes so that I would win BUT I THOUGHT I HONESTLY WON

Channeling the 50’s in this little number. Note the colour coordinating of huge scrunchies on my wrist? Yeah I thought you did! That cake looks delicious & I would like a piece right now!

Here I am wearing my favourite white & coloured floral party frock! Along with my favourite blue necklace, & favourite red/white hair piece. I also appear to be my very own present! I looooved this dress so much. I want one in the same material now! Bangs still present…

Yellow wiggles-esque sweater & black pants with red tartan pockets. Pink ribbons & a developing cow-lick! My parents drove me to the top of the local mountain to cut my cake, it is a lovely memory.

Well as you may be able to tell the eve of my 24th year on the planet has arrived! I like being alive a lot! However I am feeling a little angsty (perhaps it is a quarter life crisis?). I am broke, in debt, eating poorly & just in a general rut!

Tomorrow I am eating Indian for lunch with my Mummy&Daddy & then hopefully getting helium balloons and going to the beach with a friend. I should dress all cute for the occaision and take a photos but maybe I feel too sad!

In other news I just wanted to re-iterate that I have no idea what I did with my hair before I got a GHD straightener, best spending of someone elses money that ever occurred! It is quite honestly my saviour & every other straightener I have used pales in comparison.
