Life in Vegas update.

July 1, 2008

My favourite shop in the world.

Surprisingly (to me at least) I am having a really good time here and am not sick of it yet. I’ve been away from home for just over a month and have no specific desire to return other than I miss my parents a bit (haven’t seen them for over 3 months!).

Vegas is really beautiful in a way, I’ve only been mad at it a few times & the 2 other cities I’ve visited have broken it up nicely.

I don’t feel homesick. I don’t know why, maybe it’s because I know that I’m not really returning to anything other than my few friends. One of my best friends is in Prague to live, so that’s even less motivation to return. I don’t have a job, applied for one yesterday though at Ticketek but may not be back in time to take part in the process.

Living in this “Leggo house” is really fun. We go out to dinner most nights, are going to catch some shows this week I think. 2 of our friends left this morning which was a bit sad, there’s 2 more coming Today. Jay is a bit sick, and I feel really run down.

There is no good food in this house & we’ve both been eating badly, drinking a bit & going to sleep at 7am. Pretty bad.

I feel like all I want in my life is vegetarian/vegan food & Perth offers little of that to me. COOK IT YOURSELF I hear you say, that’s an option but apathy prevails as do limited cooking skills.

I started a “Perth Vegan Culture” group on Facebook. Apparently there is a vegan cafe starting up sometime this year. It’s good but I still wish I could eat at the Veggie Bar every night!

Oh yes I’m also teaching myself lucid dreaming, it’s starting to work a little as I’m remembering my dreams more and more which is the first step! Eep!

I’m going to jump into our pool, then go to Wholefoods Market (swoon) to acquire treats of the epitomised variety. xx

I’ve only ever had a couple of lucid dreams before, but they are totally amazing :) If you can practise and practise to make it happen it’s well worth it – one of the most amazing experiences you’ll ever have :)

Call me at a reasonable Perth time, you know my mobile so no excuse!
NOW DO IT AND DON’T ASK WHY!

Hi Hana! I think I’ve had some… when I was younger mostly. I’ve been remember my dreams pretty intensely the past few nights and apparently that’s a big key to it! EEEEEP! What did you do in your dreams? I want to flllllllly hehe.

    Kelz: :D Xx

Welllll it was a while ago! I remember just being amazed that I could do whatever! I remember changing my appearance and thinking it wasn’t working very well (things tended to become distorted or overcharacterised) and tried flying but it was very odd – it felt like I was moving in slow motion. I think if you become really practised in lucid dreaming things become easier and you get better at tweaking stuff, but obviously since I didn’t really intend to lucid dream, it just sorta happened, I think the things that happened were very unpractised…hard to explain! Hopefully you will experience it soon and see what I mean! It’s a very interesting feeling indeed :)
