Fasttimesatridgemonthigh has been one of my favourites ever since I first saw it, and it is probably the movie that I have seen the most (besides my pirate copy of Care Bears The Movie: 2 that my parents brought me home from Singapore when I was 5 which got played every day after school until it no longer worked).
Stacy Hamilton: I want a relationship. I want romance.
Linda Barrett: In Ridgemont? We can’t even get cable TV here, Stacy, and you want romance.
It’s funny & sweet, totally endearing and if you haven’t seen it then I very much suggest you do.
The thing I want most right about now is a copy of the book (by Cameron Crowe) that inspired the movie:
It goes for about $100 ish dollars for an original because it is out of print. I want to read it desperately bad because apparently there are quite a few differences to the film. For $100 though, it may have to wait a while.
Which brings me to the point of LOTTO FEVER. As most of us know it gripped the nation last week! For those who don’t live here there was a $90 million super-draw so everyone was in on the ticket action.
No wins (sad!) but it did spark a lot of debate about what we would do given the winning numbers came our way!
For myself:
Swedish/relaxation massage weekly!
Hairdresser for treatment and a blowdry weekly!
Personal organic vegan chef!
Flying first-class, always.
And then the more important kinds of things…
Give 1/4 to my parents
Figuring out a few charities to donate to (Pet Rescue would be one for sure).
Helping friends in different ways with their dreams.
Buying a house in Portland & living with my boyfriend! <3
What would you do with Lotto millions?! x

LEMMINGS!
This used to be one of my favourites when I was younger, spending hours in front of the computer with little green-haired creatures trying to save them from certain doom.
How happy do you think I was when I found out there is:
a) An online version!
b) That online version is not blocked at work!
c) The discovery of this @ about 3am one night when I was nearly falling asleep!
The answer is very happy! I think a lot of you will be familiar with this game, if that isn’t the case and I just happen to be particularly nerdy, then please indulge me and check out Online Lemmings. It is practically the same as the original version, I have no idea how they did it but I am sure glad they did. It is providing me with small doses of sanity on my graveyard week o’ doom, which by the way the last night is Tonight! Yesss!
So that means some more outfit posts Tomorrow & hopefully the return of a ‘normal’ sleeping pattern
Now to the avocados… I know I talk a lot about nutrition and wellbeing etc on here and I think a lot of people aren’t really interested in it, which is okay, the reason I am so into it is because I am just so amazed by how much better I feel / look / exist when I am eating so well & doing all the ‘right’ things, that I want to share it with the world.
I want everyone to listen! I want everyone to experience it. But it’s okay if you don’t want to, that wont stop me going on about it, though. Hehe.

So – avocados! I mentioned this briefly previously, but they are one of the tastiest foods, sooooooo good for you (my skin never looks better than when I am eating 1/2-1 of them a day), and really good for you mentally as theres lots of good fats in there.
Despite working crummy hours all week, I’ve been taking my avocado once daily, as prescribed & my skin looks fine, usually I would break out for sure.
I still have some dry patches but apart from that my skin is looking great and I feel energetic when I wake up. So I must be doing something right
So I hope you like the lemmings! And eat some avocados!
Lastly, Sushi the cutie is having a give-a-way at her blog! There is hundreds of dollars of prizes up for offer & they are valid for people from any country!
So check it out and win some prizies!
Love love xo
Graveyard Girl.
June 28, 2009

A quick update, I am still alive and battling through my week of graveyard shifts, it really is probably the worst aspect of my job having to do these shifts every now and then. Going to sleep at 7am and waking up at 4pm is just so wrong! ASDJKFASDJLFAJKLFD.
So needless to say there has been very little inspiration zapping around in my brain, just the dragging by of singular minutes (which each seem to last for ten), reading newspapers, drinking cups of rosehip tea & feeling like trash!
Current want:

I would wear this on the WORST day ever, or alternatively, a day where I woke up late, ate french toast & smoothies for breakfast, going shopping for vintage dresses, then on a picnic with icecream, puppies & an American boy, followed by dinner @ an amazing Vegan restaurant & video games at home. Best. Day. Ever.
Wednesday can’t come soon enough.
A Day in the Life.
June 25, 2009

Once again, I’ve been talking to my boyfriend about flying out to visit him for a while. The only problem here is my fear of flying, oh brain, why be so scared of things that the majority of people are nonchalant about? If you have overcome a fear of flying -please- let me know!
The past few days I have spent opping my life out, I understand it might seem sudden but it was basically a reigniting of an old flame. The thrill of the chase. Treasure hunting. All good things.
I have been eating so much processed food lately, when I was anxious I was eating so well to stop that feeling, and it worked! But since then I’ve been eating chocolates, biscuits, chips etc with little regard for my body, my energy is very low!
I had a smoothie with the kelp granules that I bought in it Today… let me just say, it didn’t work out too well! By the end of the smoothie it tasted like I was drinking fish water, and I put less than a teaspoon in there. I guess seaweed is what fishes eat
I also demolished the remainder of my sausage rolls and felt sick. For dinner is mashed sweet potato with snow peas and whatever else I can rustle up.
I have come to the conclusion that frozen spinach is far less vitamin/nutrient rich than fresh baby spinach, it doesn’t give me the energy that the babies do!
Um, so lots of food information there!
It has also been raining non-stop for the past week & will apparently continue to do so for the next. Which is nice
So a few more second hand finds for you to peruse:

Tapestry Skirt! Bought in San Francisco. Singlet given to me by the man himself when I was a merch lass.

Cute lil pastel pussy bow blouse.

LITTLE 60′S MOD JACKET / DRESS! Argh. What a find, now I will never wear this because it’s a bit too big for me, but I appreciate it a lot and hopefully someone else will too!

Adore the back detailing.

Vintage fire engine red cutout heels! Size 7.5 so I jussssst squeeze into them, but they are so cute! If only I could wear heels haha. I nearly fell over about 20 times when teetering about the house earlier.
As always I appreciate your thoughts & comments! xox
Tiniest Like Lust Love.
June 23, 2009

Hellooo, I have been so busy lately with crazy working hours (5am starts!) that I haven’t been eating well and I feel very sub-optimal, which is bad because a few weeks ago I felt on top of the world. I need to learn to stop being so hard on myself when I slip up though but it’s hard because I know how good I -can- feel, so when I don’t I say ‘what are you doinnnnnnnng with your life’.
It’s a work in progress!
Here are some cute things that I am loving Today:
Stranger Photos Have Happened – Best / cutest idea with a disposable camera YET. I’d love to do this
Mousevox Vintage – There are so many cute girls selling so many cute pieces of clothing on the internet these days, MV is one of them who does it with aplomb! Check out her blog.
THE CUTEST COCKER SPANIEL PUPPY ON YOUTUBE – this is the puppy I am getting when I grow up. His name will be ’snuppy’ & my life will be complete.
This is the tiniest LLL ever! EEP! Those three links are worth it though.
I have to quickly whizz up a smoothie then run to work now. I have the next two days off so I will be doing some more op-shopping & taking photos. Hopefully fit a couple of yoga classes in there & some future planning too.
I love all my blogfriends and look forward to reading about you all every time I come home from work! xox
Best Op Shopping Day Ever Pt. 3: Purple Mod Dress, Fitted Red Jacket, Sweet Skirts & more…
June 22, 2009
To be fair, I didn’t actually purchase all of these on the wonderous day of last week, I bought a few of them Today & one a while back and was more excited about them so I took photos! But rest assured, eventually all the photos will be before your eyes.

This striped tee is very, very vintage. The tag is so old, I love it a lot & bought it in Melbourne, unfortunately it’s the tiniest bit small for me as it’s a true Sz 8 & I’m between 8-10 (so annoying!) but I still like to take it out of the cupboard and dream about it sometimes.

Behold a portion of my messy room… this skirt I bought Today from Good Sammys & I really like it a lot! It is a brown vintage kind of ‘carpety’ material & I think I will get a lot of wear out of it this Winter! The top is from a thrift store in Portland, Oregon (swoon) and was a few dollars. It’s so darling! one of my favourites and it buttons up with hearts at the back + a pan collar & ruffles, it is a very tiny fit!

Just a brand new-old (!?) little top edged with vintage fabric & pocket. Pretty cute. I will be selling this one.

Skirt with cream/nude underlay and little flowers cut out of the top black material! It’s a teeeeeny bit big for me so I’m going to sell it but I wish it fit because it really is adorbs!

Silky red 50’s style top that I really, really enjoy wearing haha! It makes me feel like I am a boy in Grease or something similar. I’m still getting the hang of my tripod by the way… so some of the photos are dodgier than others! Hopefully I will improve – soon!
Soooo here are my two favourites that I picked up Today!!!

Shiny purple, mod-esque party dress! It flares out at the bottom and makes me feel like I’m in The Jetsons. Best worn with tights I think as it is preeeeetty short. And yes that is my ‘hey I just woke up from a nap after waking up at 3:30am this morning and working all day what of it’ ghost face!

Finally, my piece de resistance. PERFECTLY FITTED LITTLE RED WOOLEN BLAZER. This one was a little more expensive and actually came as part of a suit set. But the jacket just fit so well I had to have it. It’s not often you find op shop jackets that don’t have horrendously large shoulder pads & fit a small girl. So I’m quite pleased.
I’m not sure if it goes with the dress, but I think I’m going to rock it regardless.
It’s been a good few days for second hand shopping
xox
Welcome to Day 2! Which will just be a short post as my tummy calls & I am going over to my friends house so he can dizzy up my new website (shhh!)
SO! Besides clothes, what are our next favourite things?! Yes, shoes!
Here are two examples of fabulous footwear & blessed op shopping:

Patent cherry red w/black bow points. Now there is one simple reason that these shoes were presented to me, they were not on the shoe rack but I was wearing a pair of bright red round toe flats w little bows on and the lady in the store exclaimed that she loved them! (These shoes receive such praise, best $20 myer purchase ever!)
When I got to the counter with a few other finds, she proudly pulled them up from under there… to which I replied “Oh my God”. Unfortunately for me they are not my size. They are a size 6 & I will probably be selling them, so if you are a size 6 and want the cutest shoes in the world then get in contact.

NOW THESE! Precious little darlings, oh yes you are my size, oh yes you are $6.99, oh yes you are totally my style and totally cute & worth about $120 new and in very, very good condition. Yes please thank you very much.
Ugh, I love! I like shoes!
I am drinking a cup of ‘Red Fancy Fruit’ tea, contemplating avocado on toast & figuring out how to get to my pals house. It is very cold here Today.
Do you like my shoes?
xo

This is a post on behalf of my friend, he shall remain un named for now, as Today he fell in swoon love and would like my help!
Edit: To be read whilst listening to James Blunt – You’re Beautiful
“Public notice to the Subiaco peach; girl with the long black hair, black upper torso shit, black and white skirt, magic peach whom walked to the Subiaco post office in the fiercest of winds, whom kept her eyes closed in the gale to either genuinely protect her peach eyes from the wind, or was attempting to cripple dunce emo men like myself with quakes of unachievable visions of romance.
Subiaco peach that crossed the road and entered the newsagency to purchase the latest edition of ‘Oyster Magazine’ – crossed back and entered Farmer Jack’s supermarket, to purchase emo repellent, oh magic chance master, why present me with such an unattainable urban peach with no real spell to cast, or internet trickery to wedge my foot in the door into her realm of commercial presentation and ginger emo oblivion”.
If this is you, or you know the person involved, contact me and I will put you in touch with dreamboat 2009!
It is with great excitement and pleasure that I introduce to you my “Best Op Shopping Day Ever” series! Spawned only Today after (you guessed it) my Best Op Shopping Day ever (funny that!), I thought it only fair that I share my plentiful bounty with you, the internet!
Today started out as any other day off, woke up late, chatted online to my American boyfriend (pine), made a delicious breakfast of wholemeal toast, nuttelex & avocado which was, incidentally, GOD DAMN AMAZING! And slummed around on the internet for a while.
I was meant to meet my friend for cupcakes & sheltering from the rain but she had to cancel and so I prepared myself for a day of op shopping.
Apple for a snack? Check.
Bottle of water? Check.
Ipod so I don’t get frustrated halfway through trawling through racks? Check (Seriously, such a life saver)
And off I went… on what would become talked about through the generations, passed along in whispers – people could only dream of such days of fortune & treasure finding.
Okay I am getting over that now, but seriously. It was the best. I went to 6 op shops all together, and every single one of them provided me with some form of amazing find. I felt literally blessed. And as I continued from store to store, I could not stop gushing to store ladies about my finds, they all seemed happy for me haha.
I also learned some more op shopping tips which I will share with you in the future! But enough waffling, here is one of my favourite finds of the day:
Red “Crimplene” skirt with navy trim, very swishy & twirly. 100% fantastic.

It cost me $4. My life is complete basically. The red patent heart belt is not a part of the skirt FYI. It was from Valleygirl over a year ago. The shoes from Novo (for my burlesquey dancing!) & the coat is from Lush. Twig legs and pale ghostie skin courtesy of my mama.
I’ll be posting one or two pieces every day until they’re all accounted for!
Let me know what you think! xox

Boo! Moi playing with my new tripod that I got Yesterday. YAY! Funnest thing ever, it cost me about sixty dollars and it’s well worth the investment because I am going to be taking photos of outfits and things plus clothes that I would like to sell! Also, the camwhoring possibilities are endless.
I also went to my 2nd favourite health store which just so happens to be very close to my house! And picked up some more of the vegetarian sausage roll mix (YUM) & some KELP GRANULES! Now let me chat a little about this:
I originally wanted to get Dulse Flakes because I had heard good things, but it has to be refrigerated and was too expensive, so I got these kelp granules for $9.95 instead.
“Kelp is called a “miracle plant” because of its huge therapeutic properties, kelp is the best natural source of trace minerals.”
It is also a good source of protein and a rich source of iodine and iron, iodine is important for the proper functioning of thyroid and iron is important for blood cell function.
I like all my little health trinkets!
Now, I also went op shopping on this day to an area that had once been a gold mine of fantastic finds for me and…I found nothing. NOT ONE THING! A few of the op shops had closed down & there was really just slim pickings. However I used my op shopping wisdom, listened to my iPod, had snacks etc and dealt with the cruel blow of nothing to find, which is so often the case!
Please check out my latest review over @ Wellness WA!!! Beauty Salon Review: Je Suis Femme Eyebrow Wax, Eyelash Tint & Bonus Massage! LOVE!
I’ve got a FANTASTIC op shopping tale to tell, and the start of a new project coming VERY soon… stay tuned! xox
